Speed is all what you like?
Zip-zip, zoom-zoom! Here is what iPhone 4 reveals its true speedy talent. Even if you are an old junkie that likes a slow classical pace, you need to know how much slow your iPhone is. A recent speed test among 4 iPhones, 2G, 3G, 3GS and the new iPhone 4 exposed the actual speed of Apple’s new iPhone.
iPhone 2G/3G/3GS/4 Speed Comparison
Apart from features, the next thing you might look is the iPhone 4 speed. What difference it would make if you couldn’t play HD blazing speed. Secondly, a comparison is essential before upgrading to iPhone 4. So this little exciting test would give accurate results. Now I know that it is obvious that iPhone 4 won the race. The real game is about “acceleration” (percentage increase) of the device.
Now to over simplify things, the test included simple applications run, which demonstrated the actual time each iPhone took to open the app. Starting from Plants VS Zombies, the results are:
Plant VS Zombies
iPhone 4 8.52 sc
iPhone 3GS 10.64 sc
iPhone 3G 24.20 sc
iPhone 2G 25.68 sc
In the next lap, the test was conducted on Google Earth app for the iPhone and in the same manner iPhone 4 won by an excellent margin.
Google Earth
iPhone 4 20.92
iPhone 3GS 23.96
iPhone 3G 30.20
iPhone 2G 36.56
Similarly, two other tests were conducted for Sea-Dragon and Safari app for opening Yahoo’s home page, which comparatively gave the same results. The same test for shutting down the iPhone(s) was also won by iPhone 4.
This empirically proves iPhone 4 capabilities to run faster than all its previous versions, along with iOS 4 functionalities. However, for all those who have bought iPhone 4 can now at least show off their SPEED.
