iPad VS iPhone, who wins the gaming battle?

by Glenn

Google Buzz

iphone-ipadApple is likely to throw its competitors overboard, with its enhanced gaming experience. In the beginning it lay uncongenial to adapt the features very nicely, but what under deem is much more than the device itself, are the effects that have surprised users. iPad has potentially escort to fresh assortment of dignified users who may not be compulsorily iPhone or iPod touch users, previously. It is indeed a fair deal in the Apple’s conventional business world and it’s most likely to hit the iPhone gaming industry greatly, with its large 9.6 inches virtual screen.

The iPhone as a gaming platform includes micro games, driven from console ports, coupled with titles. There are no physical playing buttons or joy sticks that always enhanced the gaming experience on Nintendo and PSP. It seems like a harsh but a bitter truth that iPhone has not proven to be that good a gaming platform. At least, not for the serious gamers and PSP fanatics. Maybe iPhone can never be a true competitor to the Nintendo DS or Sony PSP.

Is iPad the size of your pocket?

The huge mystery behind the iPhone gaming is that it lets you play gimmicky apps with swift touch and scroll. Comfortable and easy to carry, you can take your iPhone anywhere you want to; always within your reach. iPhone fits best to your pocket with its enormous and fun exalting experience. On the contrary iPad is not something you can easily carry off everywhere. Not every would be favorable for using iPad because of its larger size. Like, waiting in line at a bus stand won’t help you out anyways.

Evolution in the techno-world

The iPad is expected to change the gaming landscape on Wi-Fi drastically. You get a device that works as widened platform, resting amid your mobile device and you’re desktop. This means, iPad can bridge micro iPhone gaming with the effect of desktop gaming, except for the real buttons that iPad also doesn’t have.

Trivial apps will decrease across the board

App building has obvious money concerns. One way of leveraging from both the platforms is to convert and bring the existing apps on iPhone on to the iPad. Scaling apps to fit a larger screen might be easier for certain apps to implement, while other might have to go through a complete redesign. This will also shed off many of the $0.99 gimmick apps.

Price is right!

From the nursery days, we have been learning the differences of big and small; a big apple and a small apple. Now is the question of a big screen and a small screen. Conventionally apps build for small screens are developed for less, with even lesser depth of gaming control. Believing to play on larger screen, like iPad, tends to shift the cost of app development to higher end, and with mush deeper engagement. This might also help in bringing quality apps to the store, as better pricing wouls persuade big shots to enter the game.

I think in the next years the touch screen will be the only input method for computers because it is easier to work with a touch screen and the range of opportunities for this is big.

This IPad thing is unquestionably looking awesome… all the features and so on… but this time I browse through this, I immediately dislike it in any respect. I’m a extremely pleased owner of an iTouch (2nd Generation) and I believe this thing has improved very much in comparison with the initial generation. And thus it will always be much better, but remember that … By no means get yourself a product from Apple if it’s only 1 year avaiable for purchase, they’ll improve it nonetheless they usually improve step-by-step to acheive increase revenues employing their company solutions… Exceptionally wise people :-)

Good luck getting people behind this one.  Though you make some VERY fascinating points, youre going to have to do more than bring up a few things that may be different than what weve already heard.  What are trying to say here?  What do you want us to think?  It seems like you cant really get behind a unique thought.  Anyway, thats just my opinion.

Great post! I am just starting out in community management/marketing media and trying to learn how to do it well – resources like this article are incredibly helpful. As our company is based in the US, it?s all a bit new to us. The example above is something that I worry about as well, how to show your own genuine enthusiasm and share the fact that your product is useful in that case.
