For many it will sound pricey; an FM transmitter named TuneCast Auto Live, from Belkin is available for $80. Transmitters work for both iPhone and iPod, but the experience is best with iPhone, in the company of added feature. With TuneCast you also get a free GPS and ratings app for your iPhone.
Embedded ratings system is for the TuneCast-on-iPhone users to rate FM channels as per their wish. Users can also search for the open FM channels in thier region through the enabled GPS. Idea is innovative in its entirety but not very substantial practically. Rating FM channels have never been a successful trend, and if you’re living in a big city like London, then probably you won’t find many open clear channels, so the GPS functionality also goes out the window.
Thought the transmitters are experienced best in iPhone, but in case you don’t have it, you can still use them with iPod Touch, Nano and Classic. Accessory is good on average but a lot of us hold that it’s not worth $80; now it depends who minds spending.
