Apple’s new patent for location information sharing and situational awareness for mobile devices

Apple’s new and interesting patents include iPhone awareness for the changes in the situation of users and the phone alters settings. This new patent will work automatically to enable a phone to wake up from sleep phone when it is taken out of the pocket or to go to silent mood in movie theaters.
The patent was first intended to launch for iPod devices but then it was amended to get launched for the wireless devices like iPhone. This new invention is lying on intention to limit GUI requirements needed for employing certain functions and to employ device sensor in combination with “situational awareness module” to trigger out the changes done in music payback, audio settings and more.This tech may not sound well and may go wrong on situations where you do not want this thing to happen. Like for instance locking of iPhone screen when some described set of conditions met. But when you look at the advantages, you will analyse how Siri function will automatically activate your iPhone when you will take it to your ears. Imagine if same function would work when you grab your hands in two hands and typing pad will automatically activate to type the message. Similarly, auto lock when you slide the phone.

Second patent issued to Apple by USPTO describes the way in which iPhones can share their location data with external or secondary devices, and vice versa. For instance, the system can be employed in tandem with standalone GPS module for assisting Wi-Fi of iPod touch to become fully functional navigation device, when you enter in your car. The most interesting part of this patent is when they have applied in the iWatch.

This patent has explained two way communications between the handset and accessory, which transmits the location data from one device to other. This will enable iPhone to navigate the location address info even if your phone is not connected with internet, through car entertainment system.
