Getaround and peer-to-peer car rentals have built around an idea to utilize the least or not so frequently driven cars to get in used and bestow some profit to the customers. Getaround app allows the users to search cats nearby without even registering. They can analyse the ability of app and go for potential rental cars before actually signing up the app. Signing up means clicking on the Facebook to connect.

Getaround is also having options to filter the choices of cars. Users can access the chosen vehicle by filtering from available choices. Getaround app works on three methods of renting a car. This includes: traditional key hand off method, that is tend to be less efficient and slower. Another option is Getaround’s carkit. This option facilitates the users to open cars from their app’s remote. This is to make sure that their owners require to sign off before the car is given on rent.

Getaround Instant is another method and this one is the quickest mode for renting car. These rental cars are equipped with car kits and mostly managed by Getaround itself. However this is something which is more expensive.

This new app is rebuild with new interface which includes more appealing visual maps that heps in finding cars. And for operating faster and reliable, the app is working on its APIs.

Getaround is founded and established in 2009 but it is being launched in 2011. The app is facilitating the users of five cities like Portland, San Diego, Austin, Chicago and San Francisco. Last summer, company has signed venture with Menlo, Eric Schmidt’s Innovation Endeavors, Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer and A grade Investment to raise its funds by $13.9 million.
